CHEAP PLACES TO TRAVEL ON STUDENT’S BUDGET

As a broke college student; my life was all based on beans, beer and boring lectures until I heard a professor talking about the most regrettable thing from his college days. So many students graduate without taking the leap and travelling, later they regret it their whole lives. Personally, it gets really hard to scrape together enough money to travel, which stops students from pursuing their dream of being a wanderlust. I did thorough research and found out countries where travel cost can be a fraction of what we would pay in other destinations. Here’s a list of cheap countries where we can find astonishing places to spend our summer.

Columbia

Columbia

Columbia is one of the popular destinations in South America because of comparatively low  cost of travel. Landscape, culture, art and architecture – it is a diverse destination with a range of attractions that appeal to travelers. There are  plenty of diving and hiking opportunities. If you are a shopping freak, you can get a hold of local handicrafts and intricately designed jewelry that is available in markets or from vendors at the street.

Bolivia

Bolivia

You can’t find a better place than Bolivia when it comes to cheap and cheerful travel. It is free or very cheap to visit most of Bolivia’s churches and museums. On average, travelers can expect to spend USD 45 a day which includes not only basic living but a lot of fun too. The best thing is you can eat out at a good restaurant as cheap as it is to cook at your hostel or home. Being one of the cheapest places in Latin America to learn Spanish, you can expect to pay USD 4 per hour for group study.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica

Lush tropical rain forest, volcanoes and miles of coastal beaches – Costa Rica is certainly on every tourist’s radar where they come from every corner of the World. Cost of living, of course, depends upon individual’s lifestyle but in many ways it is much more affordable than other countries. It is affordable and you can expect to spend USD 42 a day if you are on low budget.

Mexico

Suffering from a reputation of being unsafe due to drug war and just because there’s violence in some areas does not mean the whole country is unsafe. Being a huge country, there are plenty of cities that are safe to travel. White sand beaches, exotic wildlife and food that will make your taste buds rejoice – there are so many wonderful reasons to plan a trip to Mexico. This place is a bona fide thriller for the senses even for  students on a budget.
